Two leading technology companies driving marketing success for independent grocers have announced a new partnership to enhance retailer capabilities.
The two companies — AppCard and Westop — are integrating select platform offerings to help independents drive more seamless customer journeys. By combining AppCard’s innovative loyalty digital coupons and shopper analytics platform with Webstop’s industry-leading grocery website, digital circular, and mobile app platform, grocers will have a best-of-breed digital offering for their shoppers.
While many of the features AppCard and Webstop offer have become widely adopted throughout the industry, few organizations and retailers currently offer integrations that benefit the shopper. With this new release, grocers will have access to an intuitive product set that allows features to build on each other and offers an elevated engagement experience.
Webstop and AppCard serve many of the same premier independent retailers whose efforts will be enhanced by this new integrated arrangement.
“We are excited to offer AppCard’s loyalty features to the roughly 2,000 independent retail stores we serve,” said Shawn Tuckett, Vice President Sales and Client Service at Webstop. “The program will enable retailers to boost shopper engagement, personalized marketing and analytics.”
“This partnership will help independent retailers of all sizes to further their performance in sales, loyalty, and increasing basket sizes,” said Yair Goldfinger, Co-Founder and CEO of AppCard.
AppCard is known for its leadership in data-driven personalized marketing, shopper analytics, and digital coupons through its platform for independent grocers. AppCard’s strategies are focused on enabling independent grocers to reach higher levels of marketing sophistication and effectiveness to better compete with large chain retailers.
Webstop is the leader in creating powerful end-to-end solutions that guide the complete digital grocery experience of shoppers. The company provides engagement opportunities through websites, mobile apps, digital circulars, eCommerce features, and email marketing tools. This feature set allows grocers to fast track their advertising evolution and better connect with today’s grocery shopper.
Independent retailer leaders expressed their excitement about the benefits of the new arrangement.
“With both AppCard and Webstop being core to the Shop ‘n Save Strategy, this integration aligns with our goals of both enhancing and simplifying the customer digital experience,” said Pete Bazanos, E-Marketing Manager for Shop ‘n Save Pittsburgh/UNFI.
